Marie Margaret Ternes and Micah Brook Boster were married July 14 at Stone Tavern Farm in Roxbury, N.Y. Rabbi Joshua Bolton officiated.

Ms. Boster, 39, is the executive director of media relations at Pace University in New York. She graduated from Hampshire College in Amherst, Mass., and serves on the board of Hunger Free America.

She is the daughter of Barbara Ternes of Bellows Falls, Vt., and the late Alan P. Ternes. The bride’s mother retired as the founding executive director of Parks Place Community Resource Center in Bellows Falls. Her father served as the editor of Natural History Magazine, which was sold at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, at newsstands and through subscription.

Mr. Boster, 37, is the chief operations officer of Kaptyn, a taxi technology start-up based in New York and Las Vegas that develops hardware and software in an effort to create and collect data used to compete against other ride-sharing companies. He graduated from Stanford and received an M.B.A. from Insead in Fontainebleau, France.

He is the son of Gail Boster of Reston, Va., and Mark Boster of Scottsdale, Ariz. The groom’s mother retired as a speech pathologist from the Prince William County public school system in Manassas, Va. His father, a retired technology executive, previously served as the chief information officer of the Department of Justice. The groom is also the stepson of Margo Boster.

The couple met through mutual friends in New York and began dating in October 2016.

The bride’s previous marriage ended in divorce.
