Florence + The Machine at Sasquatch 2016
Florence & The Machine @ Sasquatch 2016 (more by Matthew Lamb)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Florence and the Machine, serpentwithfeet @ BAM
Florence + the Machine are following 2015’s great How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful with their fourth album, High As Hope, this June, and going by the two singles, it’s already looking very promising. First, Florence plays some intimate shows, including two nights at BAM this weekend. Opening both is orchestral R&B artist serpentwithfeet, whose anticipated debut album comes out in June on Secretly Canadian. This is night two.

Mal Devisa, Slums, medhane, Caleb Giles, Taphari @ Elsewhere
Soulful lo-fi bassist/singer Mal Devisa has a very unique live show, and you really just have to see it for yourself to realize how powerful it is. Among the openers tonight is abstract rapper (and Standing On The Corner associate) Caleb Giles.

Tall Juan, The Medium, Sam Kogon @ Alphaville
In addition to his Trans-Pecos residency, low-fi garage maestro Tall Juan is playing a bunch of other shows this month, like this one with glammy psych-rocker Sam Kogon.

Butterboy @ Littlefield
Joyelle Nicole Johnson and Alex English are Butterboy guest hosts this week, and tonight features the comedy stylings of Nico Santos, Eliza Skinner, Jess Salomon, Joel Kim Booster, Mike Lawrence, and Danny Jolles.

Whiplash w/ Liza Treyger, Eliza Skinner, Joel Kim Booster, Samantha Ruddy, Sean Patton @ Union Hall
Meanwhile, Joel Kim Booster will also be at Whiplash, which recently relocated from UCB Theater to Union Hall..
